Facility
Mid-States Steel is located in Boone, Iowa on the east side of the Industrial Park. The office and detailing departments are located in a two-story building providing 4,320 square feet adjoining the production facility, which covers more than 72,000 square feet. The production facility contains eleven overhead cranes with 1,200' of crane runway. The receiving yard provides another 340' of crane runway with rail access and two additional cranes.

Plasma torch, for stainless steel cutting and light gauge material.

Welding
We have various stations equipped to handle Mig, Sub-arc,
Flux core, and Stick Welding.

Including stud welding capabilities and certified welding personnel.

Surface Preparation
Shot blasting, two machines, (#1) pass through plate machine, handles material up to 72" high in one pass, or 120" in two passes, (#2) pass through powered conveyer, handles material up to 40" high.

Painting/Coatings
Prime coat spray, alkyd enamels, and some zinc and epoxy paints shop applied. Galvanizing and special finishes applied by affiliated sources.
